When I was a kid growing up in Queens NY, I would always hear from my neighbors how successful my grandfather (Swails McFadden Sr). was. I was told that he was a bootlegger unfortunately I wasn’t able to confirm if that was true because he passed away before I was born. However, I do know that he was a successful businessman. He owned several properties. Three two family homes in the neighborhood that I grew up in East Elmhurst, NY. He owned an apartment building in Flushing, NY and he also, owned a restaurant in Harlem, NY. Even though we never met as a kid I always wanted to be a successful business man as well. I open my first business at about 21 a Hand carwash in Great Neck, NY then after years of trying to find my way in car sales, banking and other business ventures, I revisited the carwash business. I started a company called Prestige Auto Spa a mobile detailing company that grew into brick and mortar location in addition to my mobile book of business of about three hundred clients, it still wasn’t enough so I thought about my grandfather being a bootlegger and I thought to myself when the time was right I was going to come up with an alcohol product of my own and that’s how Lucky Premium Vodka was born.
